Name: Diacetone alcohol (DAA) CAS-number: 123-42-2 Chemical formula: \(\ mathrm{C_6H _{12}O_2}\) Appearance: Colorless transparent viscous liquid with a faint soft odor. Solubility: Miscible with water, alcohols, esters, ketones and most organic solvents.

Applications

1. Solvent for coatings: High-boiling solvent for varnishes, paints, printing ink, enamels, especially for systems based on acrylic, polyurethane and alkyd resins. Slows down drying, improves coating spreading, prevents film defects.

2. Cosmetics and household chemicals: Component of cleaning formulations, solvent in personal hygiene products.

3. Chemical raw materials: Intermediate for the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, insecticides, surface-active substances.

4. Textile industry: Solvent and auxiliary in painting and processing of fabrics.

5. Metalworking: Component of cleaning and degreasing compositions for metals.

Storage conditions
